1. Q: What are the benefits of the Nu Skin Galvanic Spa System?

   A:When your skin looks tired and stressed, this new patented technology allows you to achieve spa results at home in less than ten minutes. This unique system helps your skin look refreshed, radiant and healthier - instantly. Increased circulation from the massaging action draws vital nutrients from within to help create glowing and visibly vibrant healthier looking skin.

2. Q: Can pregnant women use the Galvanic?

   A: Yes they can, however we do not recommend it purely because there has not been testing done with pregnant women to ensure this. Therefore we suggest you consult your physician before using Nu Skin Galvanic Spa if you are pregnant.

3. Q: Can people with a pacemaker be able to use the Galvanic?

   A: Yes, definitely, as the current is very low. However, it is advisable to talk with your physician before using the Nu Skin Galvanic Spa.

4. Q: Will it hurt?

   A: No. The current is very low and you should not feel anything except pressure if you are using the appropriate Gels along with the Galvanic Spa.

5. Q: How often do I have to do the treatment in a month/week?

   A: We recommend that the Galvanic Spa be used 2 – 3 times per week until desired results are achieved, and then once per week as a maintenance program.

6. Q: How long are the results visible for?

   A: After your first session you may still see results up to 72 hours later. Once you begin regular Galvanic sessions you will have longer lasting results.

7. Q: What should I do if I get Nu Skin Galvanic Spa Treatment Product in my eyes?

   A. If the product accidentally gets in your eyes, as with all skin care products, thoroughly rinse eyes with water.

8. Q: What do the beeps mean when you are using the Galvanic on the face?

   A: As soon as you put the device against the skin the machine give 1-3 beeps. Once you start moving the device on the skin, it will then beep approx. every 20 seconds to let you know that the machine is working and once it reaches the end of the selected time it will again do a series of beeps to let you know the time is up. The 1-3 beeps are indicative of the current level that is used by the Galvanic Spa after measuring the conductivity of the individual users skin. The current levels are 0.125, 0.250, and 0.350 mA. When the Galvanic Instrument is touched to your skin it sends a controlled level of current out. It times how long it takes for the current to return to the instrument. People with highly conductive skin (usually high skin moisture and electrolyte content) will get a level three (3 beeps). Their skin can tolerate high levels of Galvanic. People with less conductive skin will get a level two, or level one setting depending on how conductive their skin is. A lot of people think that getting a level one means that the instrument will be less effective. Remember that the instrument is determining the right level for YOU. If you get a level one setting, a level one setting is what your skin needs, and you will get effective results. Also remember that people’s skin moisture and electrolyte content can change so don’t be surprised if one day you get a level two setting and another day you have a level three. Whichever setting you get is the setting your skin needs, and can tolerate at that time.

9. Q: Once the gels are open how long do I have to use it up?

   A: The ingredients will stay active for up to 2 hours. The Galvanic Gels are designed for a single dose application. We recommend you use all of the contents to ensure that enough of the gel is present on the skin throughout the entire treatment. Hint: If you have a tiny amount left in the vials, do a 2x 1 minute treatment on the back of your hands.

10. Q: Can I use the gels in combination with my own (non Nu Skin) products?

    A: Yes, you can use the Galvanic Spa in conjunction with any skin care regimen. However, the specially formulated Nu Skin products work synergistically with each proprietary conductor to deliver targeted benefits to key areas of your body. Using the Galvanic Spa with a Nu Skin product system will result optimal benefits.

11. Q: While using Nu Skin Galvanic Spa System, can I also use other special treatment products such as System 180º, Tri Phasic White, Clear Action, Tru Face products, etc?

    A. Yes. All of the Nu Skin products can be used after a Galvanic Spa treatment, and in fact, are designed to work synergistically with the spa.

12. Q: Do I have to buy all these products?

    A: For optimum results, we recommend you use all of the products created for a system. It is not advised to mix other brands which are usually oil based products with our Nu Skin products which are water based. In order for the Galvanic Spa to conduct its current correctly & beneficially, you will need the Pre-Treatment & Treatment Gels for the face and the Body Shaping Gel for the Body.

13. Q: Can I use the Galvanic on Couperosis or Rosacea?

    A: We do not make any medical claims and advise that you continue to visit your doctor for medical advice regarding any skin condition. Couperosis consists of dilated blood vessels on the face. It appears on people whose skin reddens with changes in temperature, emotions, alcohol or some foods. Genes, foods, and hormonal changes such as pregnancy can make it appear to be worse. Rosacea is a more advanced stage of Couperosis, presenting not only skin reddening but also little pimples similar to those of acne. Our own personal studies have shown that by using the Galvanic for a shorter time, 2 – 3 minutes, twice a week, and at a gentler pressure to the skin, the physical signs of Couperosis diminished substantially.

14. Q: What about other troubled skin types?

    A: We have seen exceptional results with all skin ‘trouble’ including acne and psoriasis. However, we do not make any medical claims and advise that you continue to visit your doctor for medical advice. Nu Skin does offer special skin care products for acne and dry skin conditions.

15. Q: How does the machine work – on battery or do I have to charge it up?

    A: The Galvanic Spa runs on two AAA batteries which makes it convenient for traveling and use anywhere.

16. Q: Do we have to remove the Pre-Treat Gel before applying the Treatment Gel?

    A: Yes, after the Pre-Treat Cycle, it is recommended to remove excess Pre-Treat Gel with a damp wash cloth. Similarly, after the Treatment cycle, remove any excess Treatment Gel with a damp washcloth. We recommend that you also use Toner after washing the gel off the face.

17. Q: How does the Galvanic Spa System cleanse the skin? Exactly how does it work?

    A: The Pre-Treat cycle is for cleansing, but more appropriately for purifying the skin. It is important to use Galvanic on cleansed skin. The Pre-Treat Gel is negatively charged. It contains mild surfactants allowing it to purify the skin. During the Pre-Treat cycle, the Galvanic Instrument is also negatively charged. As you may know, like charges repel each other. Therefore, as the two negative charges repel each other, the negatively charged Galvanic Instrument helps to deliver the negatively charged Pre-Treat Gel into the skin, which then binds with toxins and impurities deep within the skin. The Treatment Gel is positively charged. During the Treatment cycle, the Galvanic Instrument is also positively charged. The positive changes again repel each other, helping to deliver the beneficial ingredients, including Magnesium, Aspartate and Arginine, into the skin. Additionally, some of the negatively charged impurities can be drawn out of the skin as they are attracted to the positively charged instrument. Simple removing any excess gel from the skin with a damp cloth will leave skin refreshed and radiant. Keep in mind that individuals should use Galvanic after cleansing with a Nu Skin cleanser. The Galvanic Spa System is not designed to be a cleanser, but does help to purify the skin while improving the skin's appearance.

18. Q: What products do I need with the Galvanic for my body & how do I use it?

    A:When using the Galvanic Spa System for the body, you will want to use the Galvanic Body Shaping Gel during your treatment, and the Dermatic Effects Body Contouring Lotion after treatment. The first step will be to attach the body piece conductor.

Thighs/Butt & Stomach:

1. Cover area with the Body Shaping Gel
2. Make sure you have the body attachment (dimple) on the Galvanic Spa device, then select Fountain 1 setting & set time for 5 minutes.
3. Using a circular motion, pull up strongly, then gently release downwards
4. If the gel is drying off quickly, simply spray with NaPCA Moisture Mist to redampen the area.
5. Wipe off residue with a damp cloth.
6. Apply Nu Skin’s Dermatic Effects Body Contouring Lotion every day.

• For optimum results do twice a week particularly on the same day, ie. Do morning & night once a week.

Arms:

1. Cover area with the Body Shaping Gel
2. Make sure you have the body attachment (dimple) on the Galvanic Spa device, then select Fountain 1 setting & set time for 5 minutes.
3. Work back & forth under arm – NOT up & down from elbow to arm pit.
4. Wipe off residue with a damp cloth.
5. Apply Nu Skin’s Dermatic Effects Body Contouring Lotion every day (anti cellulite cream.

• For optimum results do twice a week particularly on the same day, ie. Do morning & night once a week.

Hands:

• Use the face gels on the back of your hands to get rid of the wrinkles. Use 1 or 2 minute sessions.

When using the Galvanic Spa with Nu Skin Nutriol products for hair:

Hair:

Nutriol products were designed to create the optimal environment for healthy hair growth and work with maximum results in conjunction with the Galvanic Spa System.

1. Wash your hair. We recommend shampooing & conditioning your hair using Nutriol Shampoo & a Nu Skin conditioner of your choice. Towel-dry hair.
2. Activate Nutriol Hair Fitness Treatment by twisting the cap clockwise to break the protective seal around the bottle. Release the powder into the solution.
3. Shake the bottle to activate the formula.
4. Remove the top and attach the applicator to the bottle.
5. Apply treatment evenly by squeezing the applicator, allowing a few drops at a time to flow onto the scalp. Be careful to avoid applying the product beyond the hairline. The Nutriol Hair Fitness Treatment fights hair loss by adding extra minerals and vitamins to the scalp which can supply more nutrition to the hair and also it strengthens the first growing phase of the hair therefore the hair grows more effectively. This way more nutrients are kept in the hair and the lifetime of one hair is much longer.
6. Make sure you have the hair attachment (comb) on the Galvanic Spa device, then select Fountain 1 setting & set time for 5 minutes. This attachment creates a better circulation of the blood so that we don’t lose hair. The advantages for the hair are;

7. Move the instrument over the scalp with a gentle massaging action.
